Salli's Postcard

What do you think about prostitution?
Sex workers' human rights are everyone's human rights

Salli's Campaigns  /  Postcard Campaign

Study and research

The theses on human rights in Salli's postcard are based on human rights treaties which are part of international law and signed by most governments.

Under international law it is a fundamental right that all persons are equal before the law and are entitled wihtout any discrimination to equal protection of the law.

However sex workers experience often that they do not have equal access to the protection of the law. Often they avoid using the judicial system to get protection, because the judicial system does not recognize their right to work and just conditions of work.

Too often human rights of sex workers is just theory which does not come true in practice.

You can read more on these issues from the documents of the European Conference on Sex Work, Human Rights, Labour and Migration (Brussels 15-17 Oct 2005):
