It can make you feel comfortable to categorize things as simply good or bad. This kind of thinking leads easily seeing people with different values as your enemy. Complex problems are seen according to simpe black-and-white thiking and scapegoats are found to be guilty for these problems.

Black-and-white thinking helps you to find enemies but it does not help you to find working solutions.
